We are excited to see our Fuse Zero team progressing well with delivering retrofit under the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund. The work is fascinating as we design and model more and more houses and flatted blocks. Having set up the division 2 years ago we are now seeing sites delivered with savings and improvements that are making a genuine difference to people’s lives and tackling fuel poverty.

Our technical director Matt Tear took part in a panel event this week with Morgan Sindall Property Sevices and Arcadis, chaired by Andrew Cameron Smith from Unlock Net Zero. We welcomed clients , RPs and Local authorities and debated Wave 3 , our collective approach and experiences to date with previous SHDF waves .

Matt and the panel focused on understanding Wave 3 of the SHDF funding, concentrating on the key areas and chatting through our approach at Fuse , the library of details and archetypes we have assembled, the need for information and collaboration and integrating the work with estate regeneration , infill and planned works. The panel all agreed early collaboration in the process is the key to getting the moist from the funding to make a real difference to people’s lives and our journey to net zero.
