FUSE ZERO, RETROFIT AND THE CLIMATE CHALLENGE
We are committed to tackling the climate emergency - designing and delivering affordable, homes with reduced Carbon Emissions that are significantly addressing fuel poverty.
We are a proud part of the 2030 RIBA Climate Challenge and a Carbon Neutral Plus Organisation. We wanted to go beyond being just zero carbon, so we offset an additional 25% of our carbon usage through a number of community projects to become Carbon Neutral Plus.
Retrofit and Social Housing Decarbonisation
80% of the homes we will be living in by 2050 have already been built, so a nationwide programme of decarbonisation retrofit and refurbishment of the existing stock is the only way to deliver the required carbon savings.
We are qualified PAS2035 Retrofit Designers and work with multiple Registered Providers and Councils to provide retrofit design services as part of their housing decarbonisation programmes. We have expertise in the PAS2035 process and work with a wide range of housing archetypes, including Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas.
We are excited to see the genuine difference we are making as part of the decarbonisation SHDF program and we are combining our approach with a holistic assessment of planned works, infill and building remediation works. This reduces the impact on the residents and streamlines the costs and delivery. We are now actively assisting in wave 3 and the Warmer Homes Program contact us if you need help or guidance.
Net Zero Carbon Housing
We are proud to have been an early adopter of NZC housing design and delivered some of the earliest NZC socially rented homes, where people are all moved in and enjoying the benefits of reduced fuel bills. Following the energy hierarchy : Be Lean, Be Clean, Be Green and Be Seen, we have now delivered from design to completion multiple net zero carbon schemes utilising MMC and OSM and further in the planning stages
